TFortis PSW-2G4F switch has been developed based on TFortis PSW-2G and the number of ports in the model has been increased. Now, one 4F series switch can simultaneously service four IP video cameras, not three, as it was before.
TFortis PSW-2G4F - an Outdoor 4-Port Gigabit Managed Switch designed for networking IP- video surveillance systems. It is easy to control via: 1. User-friendly Web-based interface; 2. Telnet text interface; 3. SNMP commands. It supports IGMP Snooping v2 that reduces the load on the network. The product takes into account all features of IP-video surveillance networking and is designed for operation in harsh environments.
PSW-2G4F is a compact weatherproof box made of durable high-quality plastic. Dimensions of the device do not exceed 240x160x90 mm, which makes it convenient for installation in places where other devices are problematically to place. Moreover, IP66 protection makes the unit unpretentious to the operating conditions.
Fast Ethernet ports are designed for connecting 4 IP-video cameras. They support PoE power that remotely power both IP video camera and TFortis TFortis TH-02 or TFortis TH-03 PoE camera housings over simple UTP/FTP 4-pair cable. PoE power provides great benefits. Firstly, you save on cables and accessories that is important when video cameras are in the remote locations. Secondly, installation of only one UPS for the TFortis PSW-2G4F simplifies the uninterrupted power supply for all video cameras. Thirdly, you need to legalize a connection of only one point (where the switch is installed) to the power grid. Fourthly, it is possible to arrange preheating of camera housings for safe start of video cameras in cold weather. Fifth, the remote on/off function of the video camera is implemented due to its’ hanging, etc.
Gigabit Ethernet ports (SFP slots) are used for connection to the backbone network. The switch is not binded to a specific model of the SFP-module and the user has the opportunity to install the most suitable SFP-module for specific conditions. Two gigabit ports allow you to connect the switch in a chain or a ring topology, which is most relevant when leasing communication lines or lacking free fibers in an optical cable.
TFortis PSW-2G4F has convenient control via user-friendly Web-based interface, Telnet text interface and SNMP commands.
