A new explosion-proof switch with РоЕ+ support is available for ordering

7th of July 2018

A new switch model, PSW-2G+ Ex, is the third special-purpose switch of TFortis brand designed to build IP video surveillance systems in explosive areas.

The switch is designed based on the requests of our customers involved in building video surveillance systems. It provides for the connection of surveillance cameras and other РоЕ equipment with the power of 60W.

The switch has an explosion-proof enclosure with 1ExdIIBT6+H2/1Ex d IIB+H2 T6 Gb marking. The enclosure contains a switch board with РоЕ+ 60W support on all ports, an optical distribution frame and a power distribution unit to connect to explosion-proof camera housings with 220V power supply.

Thanks to the dust and moisture protection characteristics (IP66 or IP67) and a wide operating range (-55°C to +40°C), the switch can be used both indoors and outdoors.

For reference:

Explosive industries are not limited to chemical, mining, oil and gas, and nuclear industries, but also include food production (flour milling, confectionery, wine making), woodworking, pulp and paper mills, cement and ferroconcrete factories, etc.

In addition, almost each modern enterprise in any industry has explosive areas, such as warehouses for petroleum products, varnish and paint, high temperature treatment areas, painting workshops or cameras, etc.

All electrical equipment installed in such explosive areas must be explosion-proof, that is, the equipment must not be a source of ignition or explosion.
