Security system at the solar power station

5th of March 2018
The complex security system, which includes TFortis PSW-2G+ switches, was implemented at the Sakmarskaya Solar Power Plant named after A. A.Vlasnev in the Orenburg region.

Sakmarskaya Solar Power Plant, the largest one in Russia at the moment, was opened in 2015 in Orsk. There are 200,000 solar panels installed on the plant, and its capacity is 25 MW.

The integrators faced the task of constructing an integrated automated security system with the violation-related alerting function. Designing and integration of equipment was carried out by TENTO Engineering LLC.

The components of the system included ТRЕZОR-В04 EMC vibration detectors, Bolid С-2000-4 and С-2000-Ethernet receiving and control devices and TFortis PSW-2G+ switches.

For indoor video surveillance networking, Smartec STC-IPMX3693A/1 video cameras were installed over the premises, and the Axis Q6044-E and Smartec STC-IPMX3491/4 dome video cameras, which provide high-quality image at a distance of up to 1.5 km and in poor lighting conditions.

The large length of the facility, which requires the use of fiber-optic communication lines and powering video cameras via PoE+, led to the selection of the TFortis PSW-2G+ switches, which have 2 SFP slots and support dual PoE+.

“We have been working with TFortis equipment for a long time; we integrated it into many projects. As regular customers, we constantly communicate with developers who are always open for cooperation and are meeting halfway,” commented  Alexander Olegovich Pitirimov, director of TENTO Engineering LLC.
