TFortis SG-Switch Lightning Protection Unit is designed for additional protection of Ethernet ports and 230V PU inside TFortis PSW switches from high-energy surges induced by lightning discharges. TFortis SG-Switch allows increasing the lightning protection level of TFortis PSW switches to class 5 (according to GOST R 51317.4.5)

Ethernet Lightning Protection Module (ESG)

  • Providing protection to TFortis PSW switches over Ethernet ports from high-energy pulses - 4kV, 6.5/700 microsec, according to the "wire-ground" scheme with the performance criteria B (GOST R 51317.4.5).
220V PU Lightning Protection Module (PSG)
  • Providing protection to TFortis PSW switches over 220V power circuits from high-energy pulses - 4kV, 1/50 microsec, according to the "wire-wire" and "wire-ground" schemes with the performance criteria B (GOST R 51317.4.5).
  • Screw-type terminal block.
  • Maximum cross section - 2.5 sq.mm.
Operating conditions
  • TFortis SG lightning protection unit is designed for 24-hour outdoor operation at ambient temperature from -55 to 70°C (-67 to 158°F)
  • Mean time between failures is more than 50 000 hours (5-7 years).
  • It is recommended to check the integrity of lightning protection modules after thunderstorms or at the end of a thunderstorm season.
